Are you sure you really want free psychic phone readings? I mean, do you really want to know what is going to happen in the future or know what is going on in a different part of the world or a different part of your town? Or even what someone else is thinking or feeling at the moment? “Well of course, you jack wagon,” you say. What if some psychic power could allow you to avoid tragedy? Knowing some key critical piece of information could turn an entire relationship around. Some might say that the only thing psychic information does is give someone a certain attitude which allows the person to pursue a course of action, which action is what changes a person’s life.
First of all, we are assuming that the psychic you talk to over the phone is a real, authentic psychic, clairvoyant, or medium; meaning a person with a special sense or mental ability. And we must also accept the reality that, given the large number of sites with tests that allow you to test your psychic ability and the huge number of self proclaimed psychics on hundreds and dozens of web sites, it is apparently the case that pretty much any human being can possess or develop psychic abilities. Granted, there may be some who insist that only a small percentage of human beings are blessed (or cursed as it may be) with such a gift. Of course, that would mean that ninety five per cent of all self claimed physics are fake, nothing but lousy frauds.
But if we are considering all possibilities and all positions, then we must also make room for those who see the entire idea and industry of psychics as a bunch of bunk, on the order of religion that preys on the hopes and desires of gullible dupes, ready to believe the most outrageous of claims (often the more outrageous the better–for the liars that is). But, they say, people want to believe and the charlatan psychics are simply giving them what they want: spiritualism, mystic feelings, astrology. With this view, it is interesting to image there being three kinds of people: those who believe some few are blessed with psychic future prediction ability (which, presumably, would be you dear reader), those who decide to take up the role of the enlightened to provide the spiritual guidance to the first group, and the rest of us. Free telephone psychics naturally fall into the first group.
Furthermore, when we think about the possible reality that there are a few, small, small portion of human kind that actually possesses power of the super psyche, we must also allow for the assertion that those who are true psychics do not exploit their gift for money, nor do they broadcast and advertise their ability; rather they keep it close as something special or ‘sacred’, using it to help those truly in need. The other possibility to the idea of clairvoyants being real is that whenever that one in a million oddity occurs in the human population and is discovered, that the government swoops in to help such a person use his or her great power with great responsibility in the service of national security. The movie “Men who stare at goats” illustrates this alleged situation, and I most surely will see said movie and will have to do a write up on it. That is the one with oh what’s his name from the hospital tv show and the guy who starred with brad pitt in oceans eleven. I can’t remember names right now. That part of my mind is not working well. (Which makes me wonder, what kind of research and findings have been done to see the relation between psychic ability and memory and other brain and mind functions. There is another series of blog posts begging to be done–I’ll look into the scientific evidence regarding psychic power. I bet those who believe in psychic answers to one psychic question by email or by phone would point to the old claim that humans do not even use ten per cent of our brain power, or however that old saying goes. I read somewhere recently that that claim is nowhere near accurate.)
In any case, back to the men who stare at goats cia situation. Reminds me of the saying I heard recently: “Artists tell lies to reveal the truth; politicians tell lies to hide the truth.” In other words, sometimes the only way the truth can get out is under the guise of fiction and that almost all entertainment or fiction is based on some truth. So of course the military would be interested in anything, including psycic powers, that can give an edge or advantage in their game of us versus them. Note: I just read a short article where some one (a guy I assume) says he was reading a book about how the military trains people to do remote viewing. He said that remote viewing is similar to psychic viewing. I find this interesting because first of all my prior statement about the government was that they find the naturals and buy them out or persuade them in whichever means possible. But it would appear that they have been teaching people how to perform psychic like mental feats. You would think they are not just teaching any old Joe or Jane, but probably have some sort of profile to filter in those most likely to succeed at the job. The second reason I find this intriguing is because he (the article writer) did not equate remote viewing with pscycic viewing, but inferred they were similar. So I can’t help but ask, are they the same or not? And if not, but they are similar, how exactly are they different? Is remote viewing the realm of the average mortal, while psychic viewing is for the truly mystical?
To address the question at the beginning of this article, which was, if you recall, do you really want answers via a free psychic reading over the telephone (or any other method for that matter)? Because knowing things in advance could have tremendous impact on not just your life, but the lives of many others, perhaps all mankind. I mean, didn’t you ever see Back to the Future part two? I must say, that movie sucks, at least compared to the first. But it does illustrate the consequences of letting a brute like Biff know the outcomes of future sporting contests.
It kind of comes down to this: do I really want to have my eyes opened or would it be better to make decisions being blind to the future? But I suppose that some if not all of us are so desperate when it comes to love, or relationships or health or a better life that we are willing to hope against all reason if we think there is the slightest chance that there is a mystical side. And who knows, maybe there is. Maybe talking to a live psychic for free is the way to go. Or perhaps you’d be better to seek out psychics where you have to pay in order to get access to proven and highly rated psychics. How can you know? Too bad you aren’t psychic.
